Nice Aft is easily sailed by a single person and offers enough cockpit for four. The mast tabernacle makes launching and hauling out a breeze. She has been maintained in tip top condition and seeks another trailer sailor enthusiast to continue her journeys on the water. Sam loved having a small cabin for two to sleep and a centerboard for easy trailering.

This vibrant and healthy couple built her and then rowed the inside passage from Vancouver to Prince Rupert, B.C.. Soon those plans will be available to you on our website. This week we have a new build from Mikael Baillarge in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In his own words “I couldn’t be happier with how she rows and am in the process of fitting her with sails.” He sent us beautiful photos which you can see here. There are so many possible directions to take in building and outfitting one of Sam’s designs. In this case, Mikael shows a wonderful sense of color as you can see from the beautiful green and yellow combination. An added touch are his home built oars with wooden peg oarlocks lashed to the oar leathers and the stripped paddle part of the oars. Guppy information, plans, kits here.
